Shape the Future of Sustainable and Circular Buildings – NEB Prizes 2026 Open for Applications

5 Mar 2026

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) Prizes 2026 are now open for applications, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase innovative, sustainable, and circular solutions in the built environment. This initiative, led by the European Commission, celebrates projects that combine design, sustainability, and inclusivity to transform how we live, work, and interact with our surroundings.

One of the four main prize categories, Enhancing Circularity, Sustainability, and Innovation”, specifically recognizes initiatives that improve resource efficiency, circular design, and eco-friendly solutions in buildings, neighborhoods, and public spaces. This makes it a perfect fit for organizations, municipalities, and innovators aligned with the Shake Up mission of driving sustainability and circularity in construction and urban spaces.

The competition welcomes both completed projects (Champions – Strand A) and concepts by young innovators (Rising Stars – Strand B). Winners will gain visibility, networking opportunities, and support to scale their ideas, contributing to the NEB vision of a greener, more inclusive, and beautiful Europe.

Deadline: 17 March 2026

Don’t miss the chance to make your project part of this transformative European initiative!
